Grand Knight’s Report – July 2025

Worthy Brothers,

As we prepare to embark on another Fraternal Year, let me take this moment to thank our immediate Past Grand Knight, James Valenzuela and the retiring officers for their efforts in guiding Our council through another successful year: our 124th.

I also want to thank our incoming officers, directors, and chairmen for their willingness to sacrifice their time and talents for the betterment of our brotherhood; a sacrifice that cannot be overlooked. It is their efforts and your support that will ensure the success of this, our 125th fraternal year. We were chartered April 21, 1901.

Over the next month the Officers and I will be finalizing the spending plan and calendar for the year. If you have any input as to something you’d like to suggest please speak now. The Business meetings are more about fellowship than business. They are not venues for debates or soap boxes. How much debate can you have with a one-hour meeting of which maybe 15 minutes is devoted to new business anyway ?

If you want to discuss an issue, you can speak to me or any of the officers anytime in
the four weeks between meetings; plenty of time to get something worked out and on the agenda. Please be respectful of your brother Knights who come out to enjoy the meal, the fellowship, and the program but would still like to be home by 9

I do want to remind everyone that our next business meeting is July 7th and our first
KOVAR drive is July 11th and 12th. Watch for the sign up or phone call.

Finally I want to wish all of you and your families a happy and safe Fourth of July. Looking forward to seeing you on the 7th.

Vivat Jesus!
David Chopski, Grand Knight
